Math-2103: Engineering Mathematics-III

Differential Equation: Definition. Formation of differential equations. Solution of first order differential equation by various methods, solutions of differential equations of first order and higher degree. Solution general linear equation of second and higher orders with constant co-efficient. Solution of Euler's homogeneous linear equations. Solution of differential equations is series by the method of Frobenius. Bessel's functions, Legendre's polynomials and their properties.


Partial Differential Equation: Introduction Equations of the linear and non-linear first order. Standard forms. Linear equations of higher order-Equations of the second order with variable co-efficient.
